Administration Support Assistant

£28,255 - £29,556 | Fixed term | Edinburgh 

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our People Team.

In this varied role, you will:

  • support and develop Pathways, our online learning platform
  • coordinate and provide administration for learning and skills development activities
  • provide administration support to the HR team
  • support the annual People Survey

To be successful in this role you will be an excellent communicator, organised with exceptional attention to detail and be flexible with the ability to plan and prioritise.

This is a Fixed Term role for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave in the Team.

Assistant Woodland Officer

We are seeking individuals with a practical mindset and a professional approach to join us as Assistant Woodland Officers.

You will:

  • support Woodland Officers in the delivery of grants and regulatory functions
  • provide technical guidance to woodland managers and landowners
  • contribute to the implementation of sustainable forest management practices

This role will include both fieldwork and office-based tasks, such as assessing and processing applications.

A structured training programme will equip with you the skills and knowledge to succeed in this role.

We’re looking for a Grants Delivery Officer to join our experienced Operational Delivery Team.

You will:

  • provide support, guidance and advice on the management of our forestry grant schemes and industry regulations
  • help shape and improve our guidance and processes
  • feed into how future grant support for forestry is developed

This is an opportunity for you to explore what grants and regulations work can offer, and you will gain a broad understanding of the forestry sector in Scotland.

Please note this is a Fixed Term role for 22 months and is only open to current Civil Servants.

Regulations Manager

£42,467 - £45,735 | Full time | National

We’re looking for a knowledgeable Regulations Manager to lead on the delivery of felling and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) regulations, supporting Conservancy offices across Scotland.

You will:

  • provide expert advice
  • update guidance
  • support complex cases
  • help ensure consistent regulatory delivery is aligned with Scotland’s Forest Strategy
  • contribute to staff training and the development of IT systems that support our regulatory work

You should have experience with felling and EIA regulations, a good understanding of the UK Forestry Standard, and a relevant qualification in forestry or land management.
