Summary

The Scottish Government’s economic strategy is to create a more successful country, with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish through increasing sustainable economic growth. The forestry sector contributes to a number of the Government’s national outcomes by providing skilled employment, investment opportunities, CO2 savings, and attractive built and natural environments. One of the key aims of the Scottish Forestry Strategy is to encourage competitive and innovative businesses to deliver this.
